In December 2005 Parliament brought into force the Civil Partnership Act www.opsi.gov.uk and we at Pink Partnerships joined in celebration with gay and lesbian communities nationwide and abroad. We want you to have the day you deserve and have long awaited. There are many mixed emotions and the joy and happiness you will feel when making this commitment to one another will stay with you for the rest of your lives. Because we are qualified Registrars we have been present with many same sex couples when they legalise their union. We understand the mixed emotions that couples face at such a delicate moment in their lives. One of the main feelings experienced is nerves. Not being familiar with the Civil Partnership Ceremony and not knowing quite what to expect. Many Register Offices all over the Country now offer couples a full ceremony to compliment the Signing Of The Schedule that binds you in law, this kind of ceremony really brings the occasion together. You may choose to have the giving and receiving of rings or if you want to go for something less traditional maybe a gift to one another, take the time to really think about what you want from your day. The use of reading and poetry can really add to your ceremony, please view our selection of readings for inspiration. We have put together a few packages for our couples that want to take a step back and let someone else take on more of the responsibility of organising and recommending suppliers. One to One Consultation Our consultation service is useful for brainstorming ideas, running through the legalities, and getting a general overview of your requirements for the day. Within a week of consultation you will be sent a written account of the discussion and an outline of the next stage. This consultation is available on evenings and weekends and will be deducted from your bill if you go on to use the Planning & Design or Full Concept Package. Venue Selection Service This service gives you 5 recommended venues to choose from and is based on the information given on your online form and communication between us. Once we have sourced the venues for you we will send you contact details, internet links with photos, and a written report (with brochure if available). Menus and wine lists will be made available with an outline of costs and capacity. If the venue is an approved venue for Civil Partnerships we will also send you the details of the local Register Office you will need to liase with. We will provide you a guide price informing you how much it will cost for the Registrar to come to the venue. Supply and Search Service This package is aimed at couples that want to do most of the arranging themselves but do not know which suppliers are reliable and want an independent overview of the quality of services they will get. We will give you the contact details of at least 3 reliable and recommended services in each of Transportation, Photography, and Floral Arrangements. You will be able to decide with confidence which supplier will meet your needs best. This package is not limited to the three specific areas mentioned above. Full Concept Package This package gives you all the elements of the Planning and Design Package but goes one step further in complementing your day. The extra services we will provide are:
This package will include on-the-day attendance for a minimum of 2 hours if required. This discreet behind the scenes service is complimentary to those choosing this package. If you require more than 2 hours attendance on the day there will be an hourly rate charged. Tailor Made Package If you require a tailor-made full and complete planning and co-ordination service we can provide this. We can manage your budgets and organise your honeymoon and insurances. Organise accommodation for you and your guests, plan a traditional stag or hen night to be remembered for years to come. We can complement your ideas and turn your dream day into reality. We prefer not to give a set figure for this service and would usually arrange a price upon your request. If you would like a religious blessing by a priest we can arrange this for you. We have excellent contacts in this area and can arrange for your blessing to take place in a church or a private venue before or after your Civil Ceremony.
